Dr. Antwinett O. Lee has a diverse clinical background and is an innovator and strategist.
Biography
Dr. Antwinett O. Lee has a diverse clinical background, including working as a clinical nurse specialist in continuing care, home health, hospice, public health, surgical oncology, and general medicine. As an administrator, she served as an Associate Dean of Undergraduate Nursing from 2017-2020 and was appointed Interim Dean of the School of Health Sciences from 2020-2021. She successfully led nursing faculty in curriculum development, pedagogy, and instructional design, and implemented a new Concept-based Curriculum (CBC) during her tenure. Recently, Dr. Lee resigned from her academic position to become an Educational Nurse Consultant.
Dr. Lee's commitment to nursing extends beyond her academic and clinical roles. She has actively contributed to numerous service organizations, including her recent tenure as the president of the King County Nurses Association (KCNA). She is the President of the Board of Directors for Washington Center for Nursing (WCN). She holds advisory positions on the Pacific Medical (PacMed) and the University of Washington (UW) School of Nursing (SoN): Clinical and Community Advisory Boards. Her longstanding membership in the Mary Mahoney Professional Nurses Organization (MMPNO) and her role on the Professional Nursing Health Care Council (PNHCC) of the Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA) further underscore her dedication to the nursing community.
While Dr. Lee's professional achievements are impressive, she has a fulfilling personal life. She has been happily married for many years and is a proud stepmother to one. In her leisure time, Dr. Lee indulges in her love for jazz, reading, and event planning, which provide a well-rounded balance to her professional commitments.
